Fellows Details » Donate Online

It is the continued goal of the Smith County Bar Foundation to increase its roster of Fellows. It is only through the Fellows donations that the Foundation is able to provide ongoing programs. We want to invite you to consider joining us as one of our new Fellows, and to support the Foundation, its goals, and its programs.

Those programs include our annual Constitution Day events. The 2017 program was provided by Justice Eva Guzman. In 2016, we had Texas lawyer and author Talmadge Boston. In 2015, Michael Morton inspired hundreds of high school and college students with his story of forgiveness and exoneration.  For our 2014 program we worked with the Distinguished Lecture Series at University of Texas Tyler and gave complimentary tickets for students to hear Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas And, in 2013 over 350 local high school and college students attended a forum at Tyler Junior College featuring former U.S. Solicitor General Ken Starr.  All of these speakers have discussed the United States Constitution and the effect it has on their daily lives.

Another Foundation program involves our volunteer coordinator, Carol Campbell, through whom we have been able to place all pending cases for individuals qualified through Lone Star Legal Aid with one of our almost 100 volunteer attorneys.  We also honor and recognized these great volunteers at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch. Of course, all of the Foundation programs are only possible with the generous support of individuals like you.

The Smith County Bar Foundation is a Section 501(c)(3) Corporation under the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
